AO - Hand surgery guest physicians in Freiburg (Gastärzte der AO - International) (Working Committee for Osteosynthesis) AO - International has awarded scholarships for many years to physicians and OR nurses from all over the world so that they can pursue advanced training at hospitals and corresponding clinical practices. The host institution must represent modern and state of the art osteosynthesis techniques and modern surgical facilities with consideration of technology, personnel, and amenities. AO - International verifies that all the requirements are met before the reception of guest physicians and OR nurses. Physicians or OR nurses interested in a scholarship can apply by sending a copy of their references to AO - International. With consideration of one's corresponding wishes and preferences, chosen applicants are then assigned to a hospital or clinic. Guest physicians have been coming to Freiburg through AO - International since 1990 (1990 - 1992 : Department of Surgery, University Hospital, Freiburg) (since 1993 : Center for Diagnosis and Out-patient Surgery, Freiburg) |
